“ The food was well prepared, fresh, made to order and tasted great! We arrived on a Sunday around 12:30 and left at 2:30. The place is quite popular! The parking lot was packed, and there was a short wait to sit down . It was well staffed, and all servers were kind, communicative about the wait, and apologetic for the delay. While we were waiting they brought us a free milkshake, and were super prompt with refills. They thanked us several times for our patience. I've never waited for my food that long anywhere and felt so good about it! I also could see that they were all working very hard, and it was just a high volume afternoon. Everyone was definitely hustling to do their best. I'm impressed they were able to handle the volume of people with such love and grace amidst such a busy lunch hour. Bathrooms were clean, the interior was new and stylish, and it was nicely decorated. There is a great little playground out back. One picture is definitely a photo edit, we had to entertain ourselves doing SOMETHING while we waited . They definitely specify "no pets allowed." I'd absolutely recommend this diner even with the extended wait. I'm sure there are parts of the week where you'll be more quickly served. They're doing a fabulous job, and especially for this area, they're running a professional and friendly high quality eatery with higher standards than the majority of Delano food spots. They also have consistent hours, and are open every day! ”
“ Just had lunch here. Cool little fifties like diner. Food was very good! Friendly greeting as soon as I walked in the door. The wait staff was awesome! Melissa was my main waitress. She does her job very well! All three waitresses checked on me numerous times. My glass of water stayed full without asking. If you happen to be in the Benton area, I highly recommend stopping by the Steel Wheel Diner to satisfy your hunger! ”
“ This is a cool little diner with 50's era rock and roll memorabilia and music. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We had fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce as an appetizer and they were great. I had a cheeseburger with hand cut fries, delicious! Prices are reasonable. We will be back! ”

We waited about 40 minutes for our food, but there was a larger party in the back. Overall, the experience and food were well worth the wait. I loved the atmosphere and music. ”
